In Hindu religion, festivals (http://www.indiabook.com/festivals/)hold a very emminent place. Navrattas, which are famous as the holy days when fasts are observed and prayers are offered to the Goddess to seek her blessing. The entire festival lasts for nine days which are generally held twice a year.
Temples are decked up with lights and flowers. Devotees throng the temples and offer bangles, saffron and sweets to the godess.
Navratta feast for the fast observers generally include potato dishes, fruits, chapati made of katuu, special katuu rice and sandha namak. Wheat, pulses or any other vegetable is not allowed to be taken.
To make "katuu ke pakkorae"
Ingredients
Boiled potaotes
Kattur flour
Sandha namak
oil for frying
Receipe
Peel the potatoes and mash them. Then gently mix them with flour and add salt to your taste. Make little balls and deep fry in oil till they acquire golden brown color.
U can eat them with curd or potato dish.
