Hello :-) My name is Louisa and I'm a non Indian young woman(20) who has fallen in love with Indian culture and everything that goes along with it. I love it all. The food, the traditions, the music, the history, the clothes, all of it. My question is, is it taboo or disrespectful for a non-Indian woman to wear a sari?
Thanks so much and God Bless!
Louisa
Hi Louisa,
It is absolutely okay for Non-indians to wear a saree. In my opinion, if worn and carried nicely, saree is one of the most sensous and gorgeous attire to wear. You might find it a little tricky to drape it initially, but go ahead and give it a try.
And do let me know how was your first experience wearing it :)
Cheers

I am lucky! I worn saree. I like its texure and handed-embroidery very much. And I saw a girl made a wrinkle dress by a set of silk(just material). It took me completely by surprise.
