It's no secret that former PM has a spanner to fix Dharamsingh's governmnet machinery where ever it goes "wrong". But media’s latest roll (http://www1.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/articleshow/msid-1264683,curpg-1,fright-0,right-0.cms) over him is nothing but being "more loyal than the king". Gowda's feud with Narayanamurthy is neither on a personal level nor has it to do anything with his "known" enemity towards IT. It’s true that Bangalore as an IT hub has become moribund, where it can't proceed without further development of infrastructure. There Narayanamurthy has a point when he speaks about the development of the city, but it can't be in a way where the IT companies would be a given a free run over the infrastructure development of the city. And he was (I believe) indeed wrong when spoke about the importance of the rapid urbanisation.
One has the right to doubt anything that can be doubted, but not on an incredulous level that Gowda shows.Gowda has to open his eyes and see that the city can not be let alone built by IT Professionals. City needs people from different walks of life. City needs Corporates just the way it needs a good politically initiated governing system. We can't just have the policy of making money is evil and rich should be hated. The scenario has changed where people not just want access to basic amenities but want to be richer. When the people from lower middle class get richer and move to upper middle class, it should create opportunity for the people from lower class to get richer and move to lower middle. Thus, there by creating no vacuum the development process can reach the lower strata of life. And one thing that Narayanamurthy has to understand is that the city has more slum dwellers than stray dogs and Software engineers put together , and no development can be planned without taking this downtrodden population into consideration.
