Ever since their ascending to power UPA government promised the people of a liberal policy. As of now Indian Tourism Industry is going to continue suffering the red tapeism
that sealed the fate of the Indian tourism Industry for long. Indian government is not taking any action on the long promised relaxation of Visa restrictions. By proportions Indian tourism Industry is doing better than the Tsunami battered Srilankan and Maldivian Tourism Industries. But the question is about tapping the huge advantage India has over any other countries, because of its cultural richness and geographical and climatic conditions. Here is report (http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/articleshow/msid-1272567,curpg-1.cms) by an online portal says Indian government is doing nothing bring about a change. It's true that India can't be a "soft state" for terrorism and there is a much larger possibility for terrorists strikes in the wake of terrorist attacks in Bali and London. But I believe those acts can be contained by initiating a political process addressing the causes and roots of terrorism. Or am I being too optimistic ?
