Is India awake in Nanotechnology

I have been looking for nanotechnology and its developments for the last few months and to my suprise India has very few companies in Nanotechnology as compared to thousands in US and other advanced countries .

I goverment has some policy in this area and do some other companies are looking into it...

I have seen a website of " Nanoscience and technology consortium "
nstc.in
they are doing some work in this area .

I feel govt should come forward and promote nanotechnology.

Is some body lisning there.

India want to be the epicenter for this new technological revolution. It will be larger than the IT, Medical and Internet boom.
If applied and implemented efficiently, Nanotechnology can make India get back their glory of the ancient time – prosperity in true sense.

yeah India is awake in nanotechnology. Recently an Indian researched and almost found a cure for cancer using bio-nanotechnology.
