I'm not sure how an Indian one would look like. Would it be in Hindi or Kannada or just English? There is an editor that edits about 180 languages, including JavaScript, called JEdit (http://www.jedit.org).

I asked about the JavaScript editor not particularly because I wanted one(I have the excellent free Ken Ward's JSEditor installed on my computer)but more to find out whether our software programmers care to exercise their skills in producing some useful utilities for the PC/Mac for general and free distribution. Merely for the fun of creating and knowing someone out there appreciates their efforts. The net is full of people from other nations who do just that. From my experience on the net it seems our boys disdain such unbecoming exercises.
Ah well, should have known better than ask such a stupid question.
