Hey Leena, how are you doing? You are most welcome to this forum. We are glad to have you here. I am Soumo. I am happy to meet you.

It is good that you are gonna visit India next year. Well I would suggest you something. First of all if you like to see mountains then visit Sikkim and Himachal Pradesh or Himalayas. Then if you want sea beaches then Goa and Kerala is the place for you. Andaman and Nicobar is also really good. The beaches are fantastic.
You could also visit Thar Desert but if you can afford then sure go on the Palace on Wheels (the most royal and luxurious train in Asia). Or take a ride in superfast train shatabdi Express running at a speed of 160km/hr.

You can also take a ride in New delhi's subway which is very new. Or the subway in Kolkata which was made in 1975. Old but pretty good. Also the streetcars(tram) in Kolkata running from 1905.

Want to visit historical places, there are tonnes in New delhi and all other places. Cultural places are found all over India in south India.

But I suggest you to be careful in big cities like New Delhi. Too much corruption and don't just trust any people blindly. There are crooks everywhere. You won't know who's a crook. But there are lots of good people too.

I hope you have really good time over there. I wish you best of luck. Tell me how India was.

If you have any more questions then ask for it. I will try my best to help you.
And as for Indian friend, I am ready to be your Indian friend. Can I be your friend?

First of all, Congratulations that you are starting your own business. In India, you will find no. of varieties of clothes and women accessories. India is like a suitcase full of these things with lots and lots of colour combinations, embroidries, other materials etc.
Its nice to read that you want to sell these things in Egypt. I am sure that these will definitely appreciated by egyptians and your store will stand on No. 1 .
Thanks for exploring our Indian culture in other countries.

It is good that you are opening a business. I would say that New Delhi is not a very safe place for women. I suggest that you don't go out too much late at night. Best place for women is Mumbai. Safety is what matters the most.

Business should be good. But I dont' have much idea about business.
Anyways the safest place to tour in India is sikkim. It is a place were you can do anything at anytime without fear criminals.

Mumbai was the safe place. But now, it also becoming unsafe for women like Delhi. Whether Mumbai, delhi or any other place, Its not safe for women.

I didn't feel particularly unsafe when I was in India but then again, I was there with my family. It's probably not a good idea to travel anywhere by yourself (whether you're male or female) just because you might simply get sick while travelling. I would say that the general rules that apply to travelling also apply to India - you don't have to be stupid ;)

It's true that foreigners get hussled a lot. I think that this is because we have no idea what the REAL value of things are... India is a low-cost country but we're used to paying a lot for even the simplest things you can get for 10 rupees. The same goes for rickshaws - when you have no idea where the place you're going to is, it's easy for the drivers to ask for anything they want. What I found very annoying, though, was that you couldn't even trust them to put on the meter because then they would just drive you around until they got the sum they wanted. I personally have absolutely no intrest to sit in the traffic for no reason, it really gets on your health. I'm not used to haggling either so I found it a bit stressful having to discuss the price all the time...

I was in india for only about 2.5 weeks so that's hardly enough for getting used to everything. I think that if you want to go to India for a longer period of time, you might first want to go there for a week or two... If you've never been to anywhere even remotely similar to India, you're most probably either going to like it or hate it ;)

Dress material!!!
Bonanza in Ambala!!!

If u are planning to have some stuff from India. I would like to tell u, that after a drive of just four hours from Delhi, there is a place called Ambala.

U will find a wide variety of dress material there.

Market is full of dress materials consisting of lehngas-cholis, suits and sarees.

Let me make u brief description of every outfit:

Lenhga - choli is a dress which is like to be worn by women on functions and brides on their wedding. It consists of a big skirt stitched using huge yarn with embroidery work and beads decorated over it to make it beautiful.
It is worn with a top and dupatta decorated with zari.

Earlier, these were worn by royal people but their dresses were embedded with jewels and precious gems and stones.

A saree, u know is one of the most liked dress of Indian women.

It consists of big yarn which is beautifully wrapped around after making beautiful plates.
Art of wearing a saree further beautify it. .

U will get stuff of your choice at reasonable rates from huge varieties of colors and texts .
