Hi everyone!
My name is Boris and I recently got a scholarship to carry out a research project in India. One year ago, I submitted a preliminary design of a research before the Indian Council of Cultural Relations, New Delhi to study the evolution of networked multi-stakeholder policy mechanisms, promoting corporate social responsibilities in India. However, when I was completing their application from I stated that I would like to do this study either at JNU or University of Bangalore. To my surpise, the ICCR has placed me to carry my research intentions at the post-graduate department of business studies at Sardar Patel University. I tried to find some info on the internet about the international and national reputation of SPu but I came accross only with this info : redhotcurry.com/news/sardar_patel_award.htm
However, I've been getting contradicting feedback about that place and started feeling quite confused what sources of info to consider as reliable. My problem is that I've never been in business studies. I have a BA in public administration from one Bulgarian university and MA in globalization studies from a leading German one. I did an exchange semester two years ago at the Center for the Study of Social Systems at JNU and by that time got interested in the field of corporate social responsibilities. My request is simple. Everyone who can help me with info on the quality of education at this department at SPU and its national and international reputaion I would be greatful in order to form some opinion about that place. My scholarship covers everything without the fligh-ticket so I just prefer to get some info before I make my mind to join SPU.
boris :)
