Tomorrow’s episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 2 was slated to be the last shot with anchor Amitabh Bachchan prior to his illness. Star Plus had earlier announced that after January 7, they would take a decision taking into consideration Bachchan’s health, or have reruns of the quiz show.

Channel has decided to air The Best of Screen Awards instead of Kaun Banega Crorepati 2 tomorrow.

This means the last KBC episode canned with Bachchan will now air on Friday, January 13 followed by the Screen awards red carpet and awards ceremony on January 13 and 14 respectively.

The channel now has to take a decision about what to air from January 20 in the KBC slot — whether they will air repeat episodes or replace KBC temporarily with a new show, unless Bachchan is fit enough to shoot again.

The first priority for the actor, as soon as he resumes work would be to complete KBC 2 shoots as Star TV is running out of episodes.
Now it is up to Bachchan to decide and end the suspense on his return to the sets.
