HI my name is venkataraman. I am a singapore pr and thinking of moving to australia or usa.
i am a software engg with a family of 1 child .well there are inherent reasons for opting to move out of spore, the choices we have are either australia or usa.
we have not been able to clearly or rather outrightly conclude on any one of them and need inputs to decide on the same.
question is how is australia for software guys. is it worth relocating there in comparison to usa.
i dont have a masters in computing but my wife does so can apply for aus pr with her as the primary applicant BUT usa would be different.
plus USA takes lot of time for granting citizenship etc and with the uncertainities it would be mindbogling.
so pl help and give suggestions.
thanks all
venkat

While Australia is a much better place to live a peaceful life, USA ranks in terms of opportunites and remuneration. Since both your wife and you are qualified software professionals, you will get good jobs anywhere.

I would rather say, you need to decide what kind of life you wish to lead in future. Australia, with less than twenty million population and a large amout of land and greenery makes a better place for migration while USA's bustling towns are good for those who are willing to compromise on their social life and are looking for substantial financial growth.

Depends on what you need and want. If you want a citizenship or a greencard to the country you are going to, go to australia. It will take a long time in the USA to get your greencard. I've waited since 2000 and still am waiting (In final stage though). Life might be much easier in australia.
