We all believe that every civilization has its own concerns and questionable practices. We all live within a society and follow the preset norms and customs. But cross-cultural observations give us a feeling that the grass is greener on the other side and we set out to compare and complain. Most of the things we wish to change remain impossible because each individual has thier own needs and preferences and they can be quite diverse. Now, let us see what comes to your mind if you were to choose to change five things around you.

I will start with five things I would like to change:

Bar all existing political parties and let the youth form two new political parties both acting on the same principles: socio-economic growth. The competition shall only be in terms of performance when at power.
Religion is the mother of all miseries and chaos. But it is impossible for a whole nation to shed its association with all religions. However, it's the second thing I would like to change. Make the country religion free.
Give women social freedom which has been a privilage enjoyed only by men for ages. For a starter, women should be allowed to decide where they want to live after marriage, with in-laws or with her parents or both places in turn. Men should not mind staying at thier in-laws [for a change ];)
Revise all educational programs, starting at the kindergarten level reaching till higher education such that irrelevent or unuseful subjects can be dropped and many useful and necessary subjects like handcraft, foreign languages, psychology and sex can be added as compulosry study at appopriate stages. The coming generation needs to be eco-friendly with strong awareness of nature, birds and animals, needs to be highly productive and efficient, morally and socially strong.
Revolutionise judicial system so that there is no 'justice delayed, justice denied' situation. This should encourage civilians to approach law courts with confidence that their issue will be heard and resolved in due time. The reason we have so much corruption around today is only because of an impotent judiciary. People are unwilling to report corruption because they know nothing will happen, not at least for the next twenty years once the case if filed. If the courts start putting the convicts, no matter who they are, behind the bars then we will finally see light at the end of the tunnel. So, these are five things I would like to change in the face of the new year. Do share your thoughts and try not to challege what others have said. We just want to know what you would like to change.
