Google Removed Illegal Videos

CNBC-TV18 first broke the story on how you can watch the latest Bollywood (http://www.chandigarhcity.com/bbs/bollywood-talk-vf13.html) hits on Google video for free. But, now, after a legal notice, Google has removed the illegal videos.

The American lawyers for Yashraj Films sent out legal notices to Google last week after finding pirated versions of the company's movies on Google Video. Google, which had stated that it would remove illegal content it was made aware of, did so, deleting several Hindi films from the website

Google did react quite swiftly in removing illegal Bollywood videos from its site. But since that was reactive, there is still concern over monitoring Google Video for pirated content.

i dun think google did right. What was the problem in uploadin videos on google nothin at all. people who cant afford movie can watch it online. still people watch them by downloadin torrents or millionz sites are out there to let ppl watch or download movies...

kkyeur you said people who can't afford movie will see it online will they then afford internet connection. This gives encouragement to piracy industry. so google did it right. I think Government should act strongly on piracy industry.
Remember piracy = stealing Those who spend millions on producing these movies lose their earnings due to piracy. Well what i said includes piracy of softwares also. opinions welcome

there isnt only google there is media putfile, zshares, badongo (allows unlimited for free), and more how about them? Government dun see them? coz there are many TV shows and movies are bein uploaded on those servers. Governtment can only see google coz its popular :-? hmmm Great

You are probably right.. but that doesn't in any way change my stand piracy is illegal and should not be encouraged.... people should not support it... i never buy pirated cds bcoz' i know it is hurting the original cd's producer.
