Priyanka Chopra looks stunning. Did you always wanted to be in the glamour industry?
I’m being blessed with it and I’m thankful for God about it. Personally I don’t do much to groom myself. Once I got associated with the glamour world, I knew that this is what I have to do. Standing as a beauty queen open many doors for you. But I was not certain that I would like to be an actress until I started receiving many Bollywood offers. As I was very young and took time to decide what should I do next. And then everything happened!
The title of the Miss India/Miss World must have proved as an advantage for you in the industry?
The title does bag you offer and I bagged my debut film ‘The Hero’ for that. Then ‘Andaaz’ happened. But after that the time came when I had to move ahead on the strength of acting and performance.
When you started out did you think that you would be so successful as an actress?
I’ve never anticipated and even today I can’t imagine. I never thought that I would be successful as an actress because I never realized until I faced the camera that I could act. Even in my wildest dreams I haven’t aspired to be an actress. All I have to thank is God and the industry, which has been so warm and welcoming.
How do you manage your hectic schedule?
My routine of life is extremely crazy. I get up early because generally I’ve to report to the shoot by 7 in the morning. My day starts at 5:30 and I set out to work by 6:30. The shift is generally from 7 to 9. If I have spare time I go for photo-shoot, press meets and other stuffs. I return home by 11 and go to bed.
With so much glamour and success, men must be falling over you!
Yes indeed all the dashing hunks are falling for me. But that’s only in films. (Laughs). In real life nothing of that sort happens. I’ve never experienced something such in real life. Now I’m pinning that they do! (Laughs again)
Your career is grooming fine. Do you have thoughts of marriage?
I’m just 23 right now and I haven’t though about marriage at all. My career is blooming now and I’ve a long way to go. More than anything else I don’t have the guy in my life to get married to. May be the day I’ll find him, I’ll think about marriage.
What are the qualities that you’re looking in your prince charming?
There are lots of criteria to be fulfilled for that. He should have a funny bone, should be light hearted and also intelligent. He should have the knowledge about everything and should be smart enough to tackle hard situations. He has to be loyal in our relation and should love me. And yes he has to be tall too. It can be anyone, but both of us have to fall in love with each other.
