Mumbai, January 14:
A Day after he was arrested for a second time by the Khar police for allegedly molesting one of his former patients, cosmetic surgeon Vijay Sharma was released on a bail amount of Rs 20,000 on Monday morning. Sharma was first arrested on Saturday for allegedly molesting and threatening a TV journalist at his clinic in Khar.
After being released on Monday, Sharma held a press conference at his Saundarya Bungalow in Shastri Nagar area of Andheri (West) refuting allegations levelled against him in both cases.
Speaking about the complaint lodged against him by a 30-year-old former patient, Sharma said, “Two years back, I had conducted a breast implant surgery on the woman. After that there were some complications and I told her that it was possible that her body was rejecting the implants. I persuaded her to get the implants removed. At this, she started asking for her money back. I explained to her that while I could forego my consultation fees, the cost of the operation and the fees for the anaesthetics could not be returned. That is when she approached the Khar police station to lodge a case of cheating against me.” ...Read...
