"Disk boot failure insert system disk and press enter" is the error I get after the system does its booting for the first time. Upon restarting of the system by pressing the restart button on the tower the system boots as usual to the os - ms windows xp pro obtained from cd (non pirated). Also, which I think might be related to the problem is that, when after the boot process completes I look at the time in the taskbar it is set back from what I had set it to.
I have modified the cmos to boot from hd first but this attempt failed in providing a unique result. I have also optimized the systems cmos settings but that too failed.
The question is why does my system exibhit this temporary logical malfunctioning? What approach should i take to troubleshoot this technical issue?
Any suggestion will be helpful.
