KOLKATA: Culling operations were badly hit on Sunday in Birbhum's Nalhati after team members refused to start work in face of angry and protesting villagers.
In Burdwan, villagers attacked culling teams, even as five more parts of the district were added to the list of affected areas. The animal resources development department added Bankura on its surveillance radar, with reports of unusual bird deaths pouring in.
