As western disturbance fizzled out, temperatures dropped reviving cold wave conditions in the state. Agra was the coldest in the state with 2.2 degrees celsius while Lucknow shivered at 4.4 degrees celsius.
Sultanpur recorded a minimum of 3.9 Degrees Celsius. According to met office cold wave will intensify in the next 24 hours.
The dramatic change in the weather can be gauged from the fact that there was a drop of 8-10 degrees in minimum temperatures during last 24 hours.
The temperatures were high last week because of the western disturbance. However, as soon as the skies became clear, dry icy continental winds pierced into the state forcing temperatures to drop considerably.
