NEW DELHI:-Concerned over recent attacks on foreign tourists, particularly women, the Centre is working on a plan to deploy ex-servicemen as tourist wardens to ensure safety of tourists.
The Secretary, Union Ministry of Tourism, S. Banerjee, said on Thursday that his Ministry was talking with the Union Home Ministry and the Directorate General Resettlement of the Defence Ministry on the issue.
