Delhi to Agra to see Taj etc. Train or Coach

We (family of 8) have a day in Delhi to visit Agra to see the taj and other nearby sites. Which is the quickest more economical way to do the trip, bearing in mind we need transport to visit Agra Fort and any other sites the other end. Is it wise to arrange transport the other end after arriving by train ? What would be the costs. Is breakfast served on the early morning train ? Any tips for my 6 children born overseas.

I think your best bet is the staff of your the hotel .
An air conditioned taxi would be best but compare costs.The hotel staff should help in your decision.
