Arjun singh should know that ...Every young kid of General category in India is not a child of Rajiv and sonia, that they can join politics..... there are many people from general category who don't have food to eat.... what this govt is doing for them ? Politician are creating feeling of castism in all Indian. All those politician whose views are like Arjun singh on this issue are mentally sick, they don't think for future....

i am in and support anti quota .i dont want to discourage u guys but ithink noyhing is gonna help as the govt will never listen to us.the govt ants obc votebank and therefore no politicians have come forard to speak on this issue.the govt says do not discriminate on caste and then it itself discriminates it.i think we should have economically backard class reservations rather than obc.even people from sooo called higher caste are of economically backard.if ebc is reserved then only can the country can progress. i guess

I am strongly in favour of the portests.
And i think the greatest power an individual has in democracy is votes.
If we start supporting issues istead of individulas and political parties, we can bring about a change in society.
What s wrong is wrong and what s right is right. If we use objectivity as our parameters instead of which caste of religion they support we can have the best govts.
But we get carried away by what free sops they offer to us. For eg. if one party says i will give u free electricity and the other says no its not economically viable for the nation at the moment, its highly likely that majority of us will go and vote for teh first party.
We never care or take efforts to find out whos right. More then that very few of us in urban society and middle class society actually exercise our franchise and take active interest in politics. Its only when we r badly bruised and injured that we wake up.
What was done in quota was outright wrong and if we want the govt to realise it, we will have to remember if for another 3 yrs till the next general elections.
Remember the society gets what it deserves.

Anti-quota protesters back on the streets
Medicos and students clashed with the police at Jantar Mantar this morning after being stopped from marching towards 10 Janpath where they had planned to submit a memorandum to Sonia Gandhi, asking her to stop the tabling of the quota Bill in Parliament.
The protest comes a day after the Cabinet cleared the Bill to introduce 27 per cent quotas in government-aided higher education institutions.

I am really not able to under stand the logic behind the quota as it is self defeating in its very nature. So I really support anti quota movement and hope that our beloved (self serving) politicians see the reason. I also hope that people will see that they are merely acting as tool in the hands of the politicians.

Anti quota protest:- We demand a total roll back of the proposal to give 27 per cent reservation to OBCs and a review of the present reservation policy.....
onofrino got it... ?
I am Indian Hindu Brahmin and Proud to be Brahmin....
It’s up to people of other caste if they think themselves inferior to me..... I never said any one to have inferiority complex, Indian Politician are great they are making my caste supiror.....he he he :D
he he he :D our constitution was secular which was made by one honorable man Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar (dalit). But our so call former prime minister V P Singh first introduce reservation for dalit and OBC... he was from family of king... so he want to show dalit inferior to him.... after reservation dalit think its advantage to them but fact now they are not up to the potential they don't even work properly, V.P singh had already decreased the power of dalit by giving them reservation and Now Arjun Singh showed them that they are inferior to other caste….. Which they made legalized in our constitution.... ha ha ha ha...:D.. Dalit or OBC may be happy but now they are inferior to other caste of general category.
I am strongly in favour of the portests.
What I see most of People don't...

**Wipro chairman Mr. Ajim prem ji's comment on reservation:
**I think we should have job reservations in all the fields. I completely support the PM and all the politicians for promoting this. Let's start the reservation with our cricket team. We should have 10 percent reservation for muslims. 30 percent for OBC , SC /ST like that. Cricket rules should be modified accordingly. The boundary circle should be reduced for an SC/ST player. The four hit by an OBC player should be considered as a six and a six hit by a OBC player should be counted as 8 runs.
An **OBC player scoring 60 runs should be declared as a century.
**We should influence ICC and make rules so that the pace bowlers like Shoaib Akhtar should not bowl fast balls to our OBC player. Bowlers should bowl maximum speed of 80 kilometer per hour to an OBC player. Any delivery above this speed should be made illegal.
**Also we should have reservation in Olympics. In the 100 meters race, an OBC player should be given a gold medal if he runs 80 meters.
**There can be reservation in Government jobs also. Let's recruit SC/ST and OBC pilots for aircrafts which are carrying the ministers and politicians (that can really help the country.. )
**Ensure that only SC/ST and OBC doctors do the operations for the ministers and other politicians. (Another way of saving the country..)
**Let's be creative and think of ways and means to guide INDIA forward...
**Let's show the world that INDIA is a GREAT country. Let's be proud of being an INDIAN..
**May the good breed of politicans like ARJUN SINGH long live...

That what you want and that what i am giving you.... we are not living in stone age... but as you want to live in stone age ... i can't help you ... you want yourself to be in category of untouchable ....

I also support it. there should not be any resrvatios for backward class. If they are capable they should compete with other students. They must prove their intelegence. Might be the have shortage of money ,but do they have shortage of mind? If they want they should be given scholorship if they had shortage of money, but no resrvations if they are capable prove their self and get admission throuh genrel category not through resrvation.

Firstly let me say that i am not someone who has or can take advantage of any quota.
Millions of people in our country live in and die of poverty. It is a fact that doesn't cause us to flinch even when we stare at these sights right in our faces. And while this occurs scores of others greed to accumilate wealth and grow fat. For centuries we have had in our country, under our noses a caste system in which certain groups of people have had advantages to put it nicely and others who couldn't get out of impoverishment even if they tried.
Hence we have some fortunate people who are living relatively comfortably because they had a bunch of laborers bonded to them, and lets not forget that they reap the benefits of these centuries of people cleaning their shit till this day. And we have the other side of the story which is people so programmed into this impoverishment that they dont even believe that they can get out of it so they dont do anything to try. These people deserve reparations, yes none of us are responsible for it but something must be done to undo the generations of this caste mentality. And the same can be said for tribals as without any help they will soon die out in our changing world. Something must be done to include them in our rapidly changing society. We now live in a very capitalistic, money loving society. We cannot just give these people loads of cash. We must reward those amongst them that think beyond these shackles and become students just like us. We must include them as working members of our economy and we must give the means to generate wealth, instead of discouraging them and keeping them where they are. And i am proud to say that i live in a country whose government cares for its poor and is doing the best thing it can to lift them. Its the least we can do.
All i ever had to do in my life was study and everything else in my life is taken care of by my parents. There are students that do not have this luxury yet keep on with academics. We must reward these students and reward them. The worlds not right but we should listen to reason and not just what works best for ourselves.
This is why i Support the Quota System and i call for more students to think beyond they're own benefits and show they're support for it too.

Quota system is illogical though not baseless. However, in India this system is more to the advantage of political parties than to the target castes.
Quota system would have looked relevent in the 50s and 60s, but today India has changed and eveyone needs to accept it. The then 'downtrodden castes' are no longer downtrodden today. On the contrary, we have so many families from the general caste segment who are below the poverty line.
So, when there are no more socio-economic obstacles ahead of any community, when everybody can secure an admission at schools and colleges, when everybody can learn and achieve, why should there be a reservation anywhere ?
We can not keep mentioning what the conditions were in the past. We need to focus on and act according to what the conditions are at present.
LET THE QUOTA SYSTEM PERISH. I SUPPORT ANTI-QUOTA PROTEST.
