This forum have so few members,why?

Let's suppose indian population is currently more than a billion people. Let say that only 10%(10 000 000) have access to the internet so we can presume they should be able to find India Book forum from google like I did. Why this forum have so few people.Are the 10% of indian too busy working and don't have time for internet? I think IndiaBox is a very good medium to communicate ideas among indians of divers part of the planet.

I suggest to all member of the forum to put the link of IndiaBox to every Indian, non-indian forums or any relevant website. The multiplication effect will bring new bloods for the forum and make it more alive.

Nice implication Rajiv. One more thing we can do is we can refer our friends and associates to this beautiful forum. I have few of my friends already posting regularly here. Also we should post some good threads here so that it can attract not only the Indians also the foreigners.

Well there are many other Indian forums too. This is not the only one. So many people go to other forums. But then again many people think forums are boring. They don't go to forums much and waste their time.

Have you wondered that why there are no Indians in the online game sites. Like almost 0. I join and i find no Indians in there. I am the only one.

thing we need to understand is that the internet is made to share information into one accessible medium by all. This forum is very generous in doing that. However the forum is too large in scope - the discussion here is free for all - therefore thats where it becomes complex, you got to be a real analytical person(s) to categorize all the topics we're discussing.

Therefore people see this and think what is the purpose of the forum? where can I discuss the topic that I want to discuss? who are the active members who will most probably reply to me? What if someone else changes my topic? In general if the forum looks, well... disorganised or out of date people will find another.

Indians do surf and increasing according to a mag. I read, this forum should be maintained, purposful efficient and clear to capture the attention of minds and reply, and the rewards program is not a bad idea to jump start discussions... jes my opinion although I raised a lot of questions than given answers but we could work something out, others are welcome to discuss and reply.

or a competition into finding a solution to a problem by handing out answers to guesses by other members?

Couple of suggestions for the forum adminstrators/mods -

1. Make sure that all posters have something to discuss rather than just posting news with a link. That will lead to more participation.
2. Moderate more actively to make sure that spammers and people who have no business posting on this forum don't end up posting junk.

but it is that a lot of members do notwrite any post
It is a bad feel that a person read your opinon and get benefit but he does not want to reply or benefit others
