In India almost marriages are arranged.
The entire elder one is there to arrange the marriage. :)
Lots of traditional things are done!
The marriage function is long in India, it will take 15 days now a days.
In old days, it was taken 1 month.
You can search the Indian wedding on line clips because it is very difficult to explain Indian wedding in one line!
If you come to India then I will help to see the Indian wedding. fine

Younger touches feet of their elder and elder give them blessing....
So when I bend and touch my father or mother or elder sister or elder brother leg or any elder other than my family and say ... paaye lagi... they bless me..... By saying have a long life, be happy always etc.
And wife will get blessing (i.e. ashirwad) like doodho naha-o puto paalo ..:D i.e. have lot of milk and lot of sons and many other blessing, But daughter never touches leg of his own father or elder of his own family coz she is going to stay in someone else house after marriage. There she has to take blessing.... but boys do have to touch leg for blessing of his own elder from his parent side or from parent of his wife side and other elder relative of his wife..:p.
Father does kanya dan ...so jis cheez ka dan kartey hai usay pair say nahi chutey.... ;)
i.e. Father give his daughter in charity to boys family at time of marriage ceremony of his daughter, and the girl is consider as goddess of wealth in boys house.
Even when girl is born in Indian Hindu culture people say lakshmi aayi hai ,,, that means lakshim has arrived... (lakshmi is goddess of wealth) wealth is always given in charity.
Things which are given in charity should not be touched with legs so girl never touches leg of their own parent…
Even without touching leg for blessing girls are blessed by there own parent.
After marriage only girls should touch legs of their husband parent. Goddess doesn’t have to bend everywhere. She only bends because of his husband or son other wise she don’t have to bend or hold legs of any one.
Blessing for women
[1] Sada Suhagan raho. (i.e Your husband should live always)
[2] Doodho Naha-o Puton Paalo. (i.e bless with lots of son)
There is many other blessing that female get…
See every where (female) she is giving something…
Before marriage if girl say Namastey or Namashkar that will do which is like saying hi or hello.....
We should know when we pray to god we are in pose of namashkar...
Note:-In Punjabi younger touches feet of there elder and they say Payri Pona.
Now you know why I Love my mom more than my dad….
It’s me mama’s boy…
