Why bias against girl child?
Since birth, a girl is always looked like a burden. Strong bias against girl child is responsible for decreasing female population?

In many states. at some places there has been a drastic decrease in female population.
If this state continues, that day is not so far when boyz will not get girls for marriage.

In highly dominated male society, where birth of a girl is not happily celebrated, a girl child is always ignored in every sphere of life.

Things need to be worked again

Strangely enough, with passage of time the mindset is not changing. It is not only the dowry system, which works against the girls. But the concept that the girls will not be there to serve the parents after the marriage. They will not carry the name forward of the ancestors. God knows what ancestors do with their name carrying forward as the belief refuses to die. although there will be few persons who will know the name of the ancestors after third or fourth generation.
But I shall ask the parents who are aborting the daughters, who will marry their son if all the parent start acting like them.

i can't imagine such bias also takes place in India. 20 yrs ago, here in China less-educated people also speak highly of boy kids...21st century is still as backwark as prehistory.....

well i can not understand things like that and i strongly do not agree with that...the people who are killing their daughter think so once that the person who gave birth to u was a girl....ur mother is a woman so r ur sisters so why kill ur daughters....
the hard hearted men that kill their little girls dont mind gettin in bed with their wifes but dont think once if they shud use some sort of protection against birth just in case his wife give birth to a "girl". i hate men like that, they r the ones who shud be killed or even bured alive...

i dont know if u have heard that "hen a girl is born that the walls of ur house become happy because girls are the ones that create a good atmophere in the house whereas all men can do is distroy things and they belong outside and they send most of their time outside the house", i heard this from one of my elders and i do actually believe that even though im a modern sort of girl.

all i can say is that "KILL THOSE WHO KILL GIRLS!!!!!"

I completly agreed wth sana. Yes their are number of palaces in india where girls are treated very badly even today. Many parents to fullfill their wish to have boy child kill girl child. Number of parents are there who traeat girls as burden . please wake up now a days girls are equly important as they are self independent,more caring rather then boys to their family.

I find that a lot of this female infanticide and female foeticide occurs in my state of Punjab, as well as other land rich states such as Haryana and UP. Even though these states get richer the custom continues. It's a sad state of affairs.

In my view,people who abort girl foetus are the ones who have commited some type of adultry,or have betrayed/cheated females in their lives and are afraid that they will be repaying thru thier daughter,apart from other reasons stated above.I just cant believe that the mother-to-be is involved in killing her own child by giving her consent to abortion,I have seen animals protecting thier offsprings and we human use technology to kill our children.Its high time we understand the importance of women in our lives our Indian Mythology is full of stories about roles and sacrifies by women in different forms,Whenever we are in problem we pray to Devi's first rather then praying to Devtas,this proves how important females are to human lives and how caring and giving they are.
The solution to the above problem is that todays females understand the ratio and dont give their consent or get involved in murders,be bold and strong,dont agree with your husband or in-laws for abortion of girl child,report where sex determination tests are done,bring those big murderers to book.I know its not easy but we have to do tough things to save the females.Just remember in your old age even if your daughter is married and away she will be the first one to take care of you,your son will be busy enjoying life,I have seen this happening in many places.

People are Bias against girl child.. coz of dowry system in India... they think as girl is born... they have to give lot of money in dowry which they will not be able to manage...

In hindi there is saying... bhagvan bachey ka roop hota hai...

So those who kill female child they are actually killing .. god.

In New delhi where i live.I have met girls who are much more intelligent and successful in their lives than guys.

What others think of them is not important,but what they think of themselves.

You should become a role model for other girls . i think that will motivate them to live a life they want.

killing girl babies is not a good idea because no mothers for men to be born....then i have to admit some of the work is done better by girls... more people should come forward to educate the illiterate of their careless and stupid actions....anybody willing???

I think we are already facing the bad time, the result of an age-old discriminitation against girl child. The female population has drastically dropped everywhere and this doesn't need any statistical support to be proved. One can look around or rather ask a man willing to get married and he will tell you what he is facing in his quest of a suitable girl. There are not many brides around against a growing number of grooms and those girls who are of age are not willing to get married just yet as their focus has shifted from marriage to a rewarding career and a self-dependent life. So, the days have gone when men used to decide when they wanted to get married. Their marital fate is now in the hands of unwilling brides.

Though this trend will only cause further imbalance in social life, I personally welcome it with a hope that it will teach the male society an unforgettable lesson. I have, like many of my friends, realized that it is time to act and take responsibility in stead of sitting doing debates on social equality. We are encouraging other friends, relatives and neighbors to raise girl children by letting them know that a girl has a better future ahead than a boy - both professionally and socially. She will be respected, adored and saught more than she was ever before. It wont take a long time now for men to understand they have no essence, let alone life, without a woman.

I dont think so that now a days parents are biased towards girl child..they give equal importance to girls..girls are more smart ,confident,and active..but its true thats in some parts..girls are not allowed..to go out..to work..so depends upon individual to individual...society to society..
