Clean and decorate your house so that there are no wrong impressions on your guests.
Be polite, calm and balanced in your talks.
Do not make any fuss.
Do not start any topic which can lead to argument.
Dress up nicely and comfortably.
While serving drinks and meals, take care.
Prepare some good dishes in which you are an expert.
Make sure that your dishes are according to your guest’s tastes.
Never try any new dish, because taste of the whole meal can be spoilt if a single dish is not prepared well.
You can always give some useful and nice gifts to your guests

Don't Try to make any one happy....

If you are guest you do have to understand that all people are not same and their culture is not same so better as a guest try to adjust....

Similarly Be normal in your behavior when guest come at your house....

well monica ur tips r definetly have a value .But i guess Sunil too is very much right!!
i guess these r the tips which our culture automatically provides us.I mean its really part of our culture.....somewhere i guess its a common sense.We can ofcourse put it into children's mind.

well even if guests cum without informing u ,u gota welcome them rite?
welcome them,make them seated comfortably,sit with them for few minutes n take with due courtesy, permission to move to kitchen to prepare some snacks for them or whatever they prefer.i guess again this doesnt need as such special tips though,coz with due course of time even after their arrivals things falls into places automatically,all we need is warm welcoming smile n lil patience!!
