Nainital places to visit

Snow View : Situated at 2270 meters this popular vantage point is accessible by rope way. It offers an excellent view of the northern Himalayan ranges.

Naina Peak : At 2611 meters this is the highest peak bordering the lake. A popular picnic spot which offers a panoramic view of the resort.

Dorothy 's Seat : Named in memory of an English woman who was killed in an air crash. This pleasant spot offers a partial view of Nainital.

Land 's End : Situated at 2881 meters on the southern border of the lake, this hill affords a view of another lake, Khurpa Tal.

Hanuman Garhi : A place of religious interest, also good for viewing the setting sun.

State Observatory : Located on the top of a ridge, the observatory is open to the public in the evening.

The Mall : Nainital 's popular promenade offers a variety of entertainment

hey nameeta u forgot the 9 lakes..which is also a major tourist attraction. also there is this chaat place near the main lake in nainital which offers delicious pani puris, bhel puris etc. nainital is also very famous for its candle factory.

That was rather informative indeed. At the same time if you could also supply me with the info about the climatic conditions there I can ensure a trip there. Do not want to encounter rough weather especially the harsh winters, moderate seasons when the weather is pleasant would help me in my cause.

would be glad to help you out on this...

well...if you somewhat don't like the rush period...try and avoid making a visit may-june..'cos that's the time when you get loads of tourists...the main reason being...nainital has alot of schools...and they shut for vacations...
secondly,delhi being close to naini...you have many of the delhittes...around there for a change...

i feel feb end -march is the best time..lean season...you can have a taste of chill..without the place being crowded:)
