hi almost all people have the image of a call center being this happy affair..with good salary cool atmosphere..! ask the employees working in one and you would realize what it is...it is a gas chamber if i could describe it..i work in an international call center..the salary no doubt is good...but provided u are present all days and work almost 13 hours a day!! yes if u are even absent one day u lose a chunk of your salary and are almost left with nothing..because all the incentives(major part of the net salary) is calculate on that basis..apart from that stayin away from home havin food one time a day living on chips and coke..datz wat your life is reduced to..social life almost becomes nil...but having said that i am aware it is a mass employment generator AND IT IS HERE TO STAY!!

You are describing exactly what American citizens were going through during the "dot.com" boom of 1996 - 2001. It was not uncommon to "go to work" at a startup dot.com that had a policy of not assigning actual seats to employees. That is, if you got up out of your seat, the manager would direct another employee to sit in your place and you would be left to wander around until another seat with a computer was available. As a result, many dot.com employees would "glue" themselves to their seats in order to keep one for the whole day.

I remember one time I had to sit in place and keep working for a solid 8 hours all the while pretending that it didn't bother me. Not a single break. My boss was a real asshole (all the dot.com bosses were) so I pissed him off by pretending that sitting in one place and working for a solid 8 hours didn't bother me. He also badgered me and messed with my assignments in order to piss me off into leaving; but I didn't and he eventually gave up and actually fell asleep in his chair! Once he was asleep I was able to sneak off and get a break!

I know what you are going through...
