Around mid-August, Hindus all over celebrate Raksha Bandhan. "Raksha" means protection, "bandhan" means bound or binding. Raksha Bandhan is a special occasion to shower your affection on your siblings Celebrate this unique bond of love you share with your brother/ sister. Raksha Bandhan, a festival of togetherness, fun, sharing and warm moments. The sister-brother relationship highlighted by the Rakhe. The Rakhi goes far beyond the mere personal protection of a female from a male. It also implies the basic element of an member of the society look upon themselves as brothers and sisters and as children of one common motherland. Any Indian festival is incomplete without the Indian festivities, the gatherings,

Festival of Rakhi or “Raksha Bandhan” is one such major occasion. There are simple but

Sisters also wearing beautiful dress and along with the mother prepare festive food including a sweet dish. On the day of Raksha Bandhan sisters tie Rakhi on their brother's wrist and express their love for him. By accepting a Rakhi from a sister a brother gladly takes on the responsibility of protecting her sister. As per the traditions, the sister on this day prepares the pooja thali with diya, roli, chawal and rakhis. She worships the deities ties Rakhi to the brother (s) and wishes for their well being. The brother in turn acknowledges the love with a promise to be by the sisters' side through the thick and thin and gives her a token gift. Another reason for sending the return gifts on rakhi is that sisters come to their parents and brothers. As a custom, she has to be bestowed with gifts when she is going back. This tradition of rakhi return gift took a new form in modern era and became a physical symbol of the brotherly pledge. We all are lucky because we can celebrate Rakhi the true love affection and happiness and the band of unbreakable relationship this kind of festival because we are the part of (Beautiful India) .We can say
that Rakhi is not a single word of festival. It is great feeling of faith and Sacrifice so
